Our Story – The Happy Steakhouse

Escobar’s Steakhouse began in 2021, at a time when the world felt small and the future uncertain.

With enough savings for just five tables and a heart full of hope, Dr. Deniel Escobar made a choice. He didn’t just open a restaurant; he placed a bet on the belief that even in difficult times, people still need a place to gather, to breathe, and to feel at home.

Before the first steak hit the grill, Dr. Escobar was already a student of the craft. As the founder of Meat Hook Philippines, he began by supplying meat to well-known restaurants across the country. But deep down, he craved something more personal—a space where he could serve the patrons himself.

That is how our fire was lit.

What started with the simple mission of offering incredible steak at an honest price unraveled something deeper. We realized we weren’t just serving premium cuts; we were serving joy.

We saw how a perfectly seared ribeye could turn a quiet dinner into a celebration, and how a simple meal could become a lifelong memory. We learned that while the meat is our craft, the mood is our soul.

This is why we became known as The Happy Steakhouse.

Our five humble tables have grown into a sanctuary for life’s moments—the big wins, the small victories, and the “just because” days that deserve to be special.
